Personal Testimonies

"I have seen a tremendous difference in the work PFD has done with my daughter over the last year.  She is a more organized and knows what needs to be done.  Her agenda is completely color-coded and she highlights her assignments and tasks.  I feel we are very fortunate that she is in PFD because she has not only lifted her grades but her self-esteem.  I find her growth over the last year has been amazing and appreciate PFD encouragement along with mine in reaching her academic goals.  Lauren made the honor roll for the 1st time in school.  Thank you PFD!"

“Just wanted to let you how much Danelle and I appreciate the ways in which you have helped Abby. She was a disciplined student before she started PFD two years ago and all of her skills have improved. Scheduling, through her agenda work, note taking skills, confidence in her work and in herself. Our stress level at home for her and I has been greatly reduced while doing homework. WOBT..... (With out being told) is a wonderful concept. That alone deserves special thanks. The talks that you and I have had about Abby, and both of our ideals, have been very beneficial. She is growing in and out of the classroom”.

Preparing For a Degree (PFD)

Picture
PFD is not a tutoring program, nor is it isolated instruction in one particular subject. PFD teaches students how to be students and to embrace responsibility and accountability. It is a character development program that teaches students how to organize their schedule, prepare for classes, complete homework, and document their success. In addition to preparation and organization skills, PFD teaches the students the difference between completing homework & studying their homework. It focuses on how to take notes, write effectively, ask meaningful questions, actively listening, think critically, work efficiently, comprehend their reading, and how to set personal and academic goals. PFD also teaches students how to respect their peers, teachers, and parents. It facilitates the development of character, integrity, and decision making skills that can be applied in various settings. PFD is designed for average to above average students who posses unlimited potential.
